Floods in the islands of Fiji have left thousands of people homeless
2011 saw disasterous flooding in many countries across the world, including Thailand, Colombia, Australia, the USA and Italy, and this has continued into 2012. The Pacific Islands of Fiji are the latest country to experience floods.
So far six people have died as a result of the flood and landslides which are affecting the islands of Fiji. A further 3,500 have been left without homes due to the rain which started last weekend.
As the flood waters begin to lower, there are continued worries about disease, crops being destroyed, how to quickly rebuild homes and closed businesses losing money.
