Your World AIDS Day 2011 campaigns and activity has caught the eye of Europe’s leaders! Rafi.ki headquarters received a letter from the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia acknowledging the HIV360º project’s efforts to raise awareness about HIV and told us about the Estonian government’s efforts to educate young people about this issue. Here’s what they said:
We received some great calls to action for World AIDS Day and young people all over Europe and Southern Africa were collecting signatures for petitions, calling on politicians around the world to act, and even chatting to MPs and parliamentarians about HIV and AIDS! Here’s a collection of what you did on World AIDS Day 2011 – congratulations!
Have you seen our TOP TEN calls to action? What are you waiting for? Check it out here and find out what you wanted politicians to do about HIV and AIDS.
It’s fantastic that your work has been noticed by governments and we would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the HIV360º World AIDS Day campaign ‘AIDS is 30: What Next?’. Keep active! World AIDS Day is in December but there is plenty to do throughout the year to help raise awareness about HIV, increase access to treatment and end discrimination against people living with HIV and AIDS. Be part of the project here!
